N'khti

Shadow rider of no weyr

Name: N'khti

Gender: male

Sexual Preference: None

Age: 18 turns

Appearance: Nakhti is roughly average height, and very gaunt looking – mainly from malnutrition and sleep deprivation. His skin is pale, very pale in fact, milky white all over, from the fact he is practically nocturnal. His facial features are rather pointed, having high check bones, and almond shaped eyes, a slim nose, and a shrewd, angular mouth, that has not been seen to smile since around five turns of age. His eyes (much like Xylen’s) a pale, almost white, pale green, they are very distinctive. Again, much like Xylen, his hair is black deep and pitch black, no gloss to it’s form at all, simply matt. The hair of his head sits roughly, disgruntled and chaotic, he cares not for appearance. His frame is fairly large, and he would be muscular, if he’d had the correct nourishment.
His form is practically skin and bone, nothing more, well and obviously clothing, much of which looks many turns too small for him. His hands are riddled with scars, where he generally cuts himself to see whether the physical pain matches the emotional. He finds no pleasure in it in the slightest, he simply does it because he is bored witless.
He caries himself with no pride, none what so ever, and from his form you can tell he lacks self confidence. His general attire, as I say, seems turns to small for him, and generally consists of darker colours for they show the dirt less, well either that or their colour is that of dirt.

Personality: Schizoid, completely. He finds himself gaining no or very little pleasure from almost any activities, doing most of them simply to pass the time. He is usually cold, devoid of emotion. It is rare he will ever extend a hand of warmth, to any one, or thing, tenderness is another thing he doesn’t have. He generally gives over an angry self portrait to others, and not the true him. He doesn’t care if he is praised or criticised, making himself null and void to any or either of them, neither feeling proud nor disappointed. Which generally gives over a sense that Nakhti is aloof. He can also give the sense that he is cold, depending on how he feels that specific day, though, on any day, people find him peculiar.
He is not bothered at all about sex, for a person of his age. He prefers to do things alone, singular activities, are much preferred to team existences, believing he can match anything a team can do. He loves to dwell over ideas that can never be, believing in more fantastical things than he does reality. His fantasies are one way of his escape of the world. He has very, very few close friends, as he has a trust complex, giving it out rarely. Or people find him to arrogant to befriend. But though he seems unaffected by this, he simply wants to have some close friends, and it would be something he would love to have.
He is also highly paranoid, thinking the worst of anyone and anything, thinking they will wrong him, pushing his trust complex into prominence. He thinks people are trying to be nice to his face, then go off and talk maliciously about him behind his back, and he truly has a bad thing going where that is concerned, though it is something he feels he is unable to prevail over. Settling into defeat as such.
He usually distances himself from the crowd, making himself withdrawn from society. Sometimes hi beliefs push him away from the normality, and he will uphold them for as much as he can, until his hopes, and dreams are dashed in one fell swoop, often driving him to contemplate more sinister things. Sometimes, Nakhti will hallucinate, though, he would usually call them “Day dreams”. Making them sound more normal, though they do often exist of paranormal things, obscure things that shouldn’t be there, though, often this is caused by lack of sleep. Though these qualities of Schizotypical disorder are present, they do run in sporadic periods, often he will have only minor traces of these, and can be the nicest person the world has known. Though, that is rarely seen.
Nakhti rarely finds himself able to sleep, through one reason or another. Though mainly it is the cause of nightmares, he has suffered with night mares beyond belief, and often they haunt him, and have been a vast majority of the causes to his current Schizoid problems to this day.
This said, when he is not tormented by these disorders, he is a well grounded person, modest, and knowing his own limitations well. Nakhti has been treated for these disorders before, but with little success, though it did reduce it for a while. Every now and then this will escalate, and then it will be suppressed for a fair while, changing him completely.

History: Nakhti was born to a large family, and it was an abusive family, from a young age, cursing was known to go around the house. Nakhti’s father and mother used to beat on and abuse their children, though each one showing a preference for one of their children. Nakhti was his mother’s golden boy. She abused him in more than one way, physically, mentally, and occasionally sexually. Most of this was the source of his nightmares, generally about his parents or siblings. For his older brother, Khmer, used to beat him, for he’d stolen their mother from them.
Nakhti’s childhood was spent badly, as then at the age of twelve, his parents killed each other, and Khmer, in a fight, no one ever found out over what, and then it was him, and two sisters left to fend for themselves. They often found themselves caught into hard places. But when his sisters found out how plagued Nakhti was by his disorders, they promptly left him to fend for himself, at the age of fourteen. From then on, he had to live on the streets, which was not a good place, for a person of his mental disorders. Never a good idea. The others on the street, used to ridicule him, making nasty, and immature nicknames, one of many was “Nutty Nakhti” which didn’t sit well, and only aggravated his condition some more.
The names, and things were put to a quick end when Nakhti nearly killed one of those calling the names. With a blade to the boys throat, he never said a word again, considering he left without his tongue quite literally. He never said a word again.
Nakhti grew, and became one to keep from the eye of most, becoming mainly nocturnal, making his eyes more adept, and his skin more palid from never entering the rays of the Rukbat, only those of Pern’s two moons. In this night, he stole most of his food, finding a brief living from it. But after a while, he couldn’t be bothered to steal, and stole maybe once a week, feeding himself then, and only then. He still lives life homeless.

Dragon:
Name:
Aqulith
Gender: male
Colour: Shadow
Wingspan: 117 metres
Length: 58 metres

Appearance: Aqulith is almost purely black, only the occasional swirl of grey streaking his hide, even then, the colour is extremely deep. They become more concentrated upon his tail, nearly so much condensed that the tail tip is practically a deep charcoal grey. The membranes of his wings are again, the same deep charcoal grey, the odd line of black staining them. Two horns protrude from the head of Aqulith, long, and extremely sharp, like razors, they are grey in colour, the odd fleck of black appearing on them. But not often.

Personality: He has a shadowy as his colouration, prefering to be in the back drop of the wyer goings on, as oposed to the foreground. He will keep a passive role in most things, until it includes his mine, or some one he is close to, then his aggression is hard to supress. He tends to keep a very logical mind, keeping as much in perspective as he can, he also help's N'khti to do so, though, at times they both struggle with keeping a lid on things.
In ways, Aqulith nad N'khti enhance each others bad bits, but others, they suppress each other, both passive - usually - in the wyas the other is not.
